Jeffrey G. Hester has been actively engaged in the practice of law since 1998. Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Hester received his Bachelors Degree in Speech Communication from Auburn University at Montgomery, in Montgomery, Alabama in December of 1993. While at Auburn University at Montgomery he was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society and a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was also selected by Auburn University at Montgomery to be a Peer Leader for its incoming freshmen. In May of 1998, he received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. While attending law school, he was a member of the Christian Legal Society and the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He also had the distinct honor of being selected to be a member of the Mississippi College National Trial Competition Team. 

While in law school, he gained experience and tremendous insight into the legislative process while interning in Washington, D.C. with Alabama’s United States Senator, Richard Shelby. He also was privileged to intern with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in Jackson, Mississippi. While there, he worked in the Consumer Protection Division and also served as a member of the Executive Support Team for Attorney General Mike Moore. He further participated as a JAM Session Leader for Attorney General Moore’s statewide Youth Jam Session on Tobacco. Finally, he served as an extern in the Hinds County District Attorney’s Office in Jackson, Mississippi.    
Mr. Hester began his career as an attorney by first serving as an Assistant District Attorney with the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office located in Columbiana, Alabama. During his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, he handled District and Circuit Court dockets prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony cases. Mr. Hester became very experienced in trying bench and jury trials, case investigation, negotiating plea agreements, warrant screening and heavy caseload management. He served in that capacity from 1998 until the fall of 2001, when he opened up his own office and began serving the citizens of Shelby County and the surrounding areas as an attorney engaged in the private practice of law. 
Mr. Hester has also served the citizens of Shelby County as a Guardian Ad Litem on private petition Dependency cases from the fall of 2004 until 2007. He has served the citizens of Vincent, Alabama, located in Shelby County, as their Municipal Judge since April 2005.
Mr. Hester’s current practice includes the representation of individuals in many types of cases including, but not limited to, Personal Injury, Family/Divorce Law, Criminal Defense, Wills and Trusts, and Probate matters, among many other areas of practice.
